Michael McDonough, Cinematographer ASC BSC, has 20 years of experience as a feature film cinematographer with such directors as David Mackenzie ( STARRED UP), Rodrigo Garcia (ALBERT NOBBS), Terence Davies (SUNSET SONG ), Stephen Frears ( Lay The favourite ), Michael Radford ( Elsa and Fred ) and Lawrence Kasdan ( Darling Companion ) as well as multiple collaborations with former NYU classmate, Debra Granik ( DOWN TO THE BONE / WINTER’S BONE and LEAVE NO TRACE ). WINTER’S BONE received 4 Academy Award Nominations including Best Picture. Along the way Michael has received an Independent Spirit Award Nomination from Winter’s Bone and a London Evening Times Award nomination for Sunset Song. In television Michael has piloted for Alan Ball and David Milch with HBO, as well as piloted and shot 2 seasons of Fear The Walking Dead for AMC and 4 seasons of Bosch for Amazon Networks as well as episodes of Downton Abbey for ITV and Henry V and Murder for the BBC in the UK.
