Artist statement

Working predominately in the medium of stained glass, Lamb’s practice also encompasses sculpture and print. He creates large architectural pieces and light box based works. These contemporary autonomous pieces are informed by narrative, landscape and architecture.

He begins the process of building the work up from paper through to the physical properties of the chosen material, incorporating a sculptural mindset. Research and the exploration of ideas through drawing is an integral part of his work. This forms the narrative, stripped to its simplest, continuing stained glass’s ability to convey and communicate with the space it inhabits.
