The Board of National Sculpture Factory seeks applications for position of Technical & Studio Manager

The National Sculpture Factory manages a world class studio facility enabling artists to make work of scale and ambition at the heart of Cork’s docklands. We focus on cultural enterprise, art production, public engagement and discourse. We now seek a dynamic, self-motivated Technical and Studio Manager, on a four-day week basis, to join our team and help us deliver our ambitious plans for the future.
This role will appeal to someone who is innovative and ambitious. It will suit someone with dynamic vision and a deep passion, with an understanding and technical knowledge of the materials and fabrication of sculpture including; welding, metal fabrication, woodwork, glass, clay and ceramics. The role is ideal for a person who works well with others, loves new ideas and who will really enjoy our creative environment and artist- led culture.

The Technical Manager is responsible to the Director with the support of the following:
Technical Assistant (6 days a month)
 
Contract period:
 
This is a fixed term one-year contract (4 day week), renewable subject to performance review. The role is subject to an initial six-month probation period.
