Studio spaces are available for rent at the National Sculpture Factory. The National Sculpture Factory provides a dynamic and supportive working environment for artists working in the contemporary visual arts. We also run an extensive programme of talks, projects and professional development opportunities which add further scope for engagement.
The Factory floor has the capacity to house up to 16 individual artists at any one time. We offer single bays for rental at €190 per month, which are approximately 6 x 3 metres in size. A working bay may also be rented for periods shorter than 1 month. Due to the flexible nature of our workshop floor, we may be able to provide double bays if required for particular projects. A double bay costs €220. A full listing of studio charges is available below.
Studio rental includes technical support from our Factory technicians, and access to all available equipment is provided at the technical manager’s discretion. There are extra charges for specific usages of the kilns (see below for more details).
To rent a studio space you must submit a full NSF studio application form well in advance of your desired time for rental. You can access the application form here.
Once you have submitted your form, your application will be reviewed by our applications committee and you will be informed of a decision within two weeks. The criteria for NSF studio rental are as follows:
Everybody who works on the Factory floor must be a full, up-to-date member for insurance purposes. Membership can be processed on approval of a studio application. To request a membership application form see here.
