National Sculpture Factory in collaboration with Cork Film Festival 2013 Presents STRIKE!
A curated film programme by Anthony Haughey.

To mark the anniversary of the infamous 1913 Dublin Lockout, the NSF, as part of the Cork Film Festival, presents STRIKE! Curated by artist Anthony Haughey, STRIKE! will explore a wide range of filmic responses to industrial unrest and workers resistance movements both internationally and closer to home.
We will be screening two main features on the big screen on the Factory Floor;

Thursday 7:30pm, 14th Nov
Sergei Eisenstein’s The Strike (1925)

Friday 7:30pm, 15th Nov
Allan Sekula’s The Forgotten Space (2010)

Democratic Cinema – Cinema Liberté

STRIKE! also includes a 20 seater, purpose built mini-film theatre where the public can choose any film from our STRIKE! library, to view for free. From Monday 11th to Saturday 16th; 12 noon to 9:00pm each day.
